Formed in 1996, Ditidaht Forest Products Ltd. is wholly owned by the Ditidaht First Nation. Ditidaht Forest Products is a British Columbia limited company comprised of a Board of Directors with all shares held in the name of Ditidaht First Nation.
Ditidaht Forest Products operates a medium-scale primary breakdown sawmill on the 10 acre Chuchummisapo Indian Reserve, producing and average daily volume of 55,000 board feet primarily in Hemlock and Fir products.
The mill was established as a job-creation, training and economic development vehicle. To date there have been 25 fulltime jobs created.
